On-Line Core Content
Registration for an On-Line Core Content Class for both EMT-B’s and EMT-I’s, hosted through COCVAC, can be completed on the Midstate EMS webpage.
EMT Basic, Intermediate, and Critical Care Classes
COCVAC is hosting multiple EMT Classes starting this summer! The EMT-Basic begins on June 11 and classes are conducted one week a month in June, July, and August. The EMT-CC begins on June 11 as well; classes are conducted on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. with extra lab days on Fridays. Free Emergency Guides
For a comprehensive guide to preventing and responding to medical emergencies visit Emergency Care For You, created by the American College of Emergency Physicians. There are also many phone apps, such as “S.O.S by the American Red Cross”, that can provide real-time emergency care instructions and information. Upcoming Education Courses
There are many Continuing Education options for Healthcare Providers and EMTs over the next month: including- Toxicology (April 2), and Sports injuries in Pediatric Population (April 16).
